Who I am

At heart I have been doing the same thing for many years, only the material changes. I work with complexity and look at how things connect: in people, in relationships, in organisations, in music. What interests me most is not the single parts, but what arises between them.

Long before I went to England, it was music that set me in motion. Even then I knew that without die Fantastischen Vier I would never have gone, and certainly never have studied Gestalt. I sensed it early. Today I see it more clearly, on a different level.

It began in 2001, when I moved to England. Two things started there that for a long time looked like two separate lives. On one side, an international environment where trust, discretion and responsibility mattered. I took on the office management and worked closely with the leadership. Over the years that role grew into something larger, and the collaboration became a relationship that still holds today. Soon it will be twenty-five years. I worked from home early on, long before that was a matter of course.

On the other side, Gestalt. At the Gestalt Centre London, in cooperation with London Metropolitan University, I studied Gestalt therapy, completed my Master’s and gained various qualifications. Most recently I was awarded the Practitioner Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy for Individuals and Groups there. From 2005 I had my own practice in Brighton, working with people one to one and in groups, later as a Clinical Supervisor. All of this alongside a full-time role.

For a long time I thought these were two separate worlds. Today I know it was always the same stance, only in different rooms. Whether an office, a therapy room or a song, it is always about looking closely, sensing what arises between people, and taking responsibility for it.

And again it was music, die Fantastischen Vier and the experiences with my friends, that brought me back to Germany. After a time when much of life felt like mere functioning, it was a concert that set me in motion again. A moment in which I felt myself again. GestaltWeber grew out of moments like these.

This May it happened once again. First the music that brought me to England. Then the music that brought me back. And now, another new beginning. Perhaps that is what makes GestaltWeber whole: to see how music keeps leading the same person, again and again, to a new beginning and onward, across all the years.

Since 2023 I no longer work with clients. I have deliberately taken this space to recover. Whether, when and in what form I return, I am leaving open. At the same time I want to give something back, precisely because good support is often hard to find. GestaltWeber is therefore not a practice and not a classic coaching page, but rather a way of looking at the world: through music, Gestalt and what arises between us. Reflections that may bring you a little more into contact with yourself again.
